One of my favorite restaurants, is Maggiano's. Unfortunately I don't get to one very often as we don't have one in our town and even though the closest one isn't very far, it is always busy. Every time that I have gone, I get their house salad. It is delicious! I decided to try re-create their salad. I started by googling Maggiano's salad and up popped lots of copycat recipes. I found the one that I thought seemed most like it and tweaked it to make my version. It isn't exactly the same, but ... Read More about My Maggiano Salad
Pumpkin Muffins
They're a cupcake muffin! Whatever they are they sure are tasty! The pumpkin muffin recipe is actually more like a muffin, but if you're like me and you decide it needs cream cheese frosting, then it becomes a cupcake. Since it's "pumpkin" season and I hadn't baked anything pumpkin-y yet, I figured I'd better get on it. Soon I'll be thinking of Christmas cookies and candy canes. And hot cocoa with marshmallows. Which reminds me, I've been wanting to try homemade marshmallows, maybe this will be ... Read More about Pumpkin Muffins
Broccoli Cheddar Soup
I love soup! Especially chowders, ahem, I mean cream based soups. I actually just looked it up, to see what "chowder" was. It's a perfect recipe to make for just one, or make up a pan full and host a brunch! A side of toast and a little fresh fruit and you have the perfect breakfast. Of course, if I was making this to share with friends, there might just be a mimosa along side it. And maybe some crispy bacon. Yum! ... Read More about Avocado Egg Bake
Pantry Pasta
This pasta has been a go-to stand by for me for years. When trying to decide what to call it, I figured Pantry Pasta would be perfect since I typically have all the ingredients on hand. And it's so easy to make substitutions. If you don't have fresh garlic, no problem, use garlic powder. No fresh basil? How about a few big handfuls of fresh spinach. Do you have some left over chicken? Great, chunk (that's official kitchen talk for big chop) it up and add it. Pantry Pasta can be served as a main ... Read More about Pantry Pasta
